Project Mechanical Engineer TOP
Design and engineer heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to meet the needs of client companies with complex and specialized requirements for temperature, humidity and cleanliness, including LEED green building compliance. Use computer assisted design (CAD) to develop HVAC schematics in conjunction with architects and engineers to meet specialized client requirements and achieve innovative, integrated and efficient HVAC performance. Serve as HVAC liaison on a variety of projects, including commercial, institutional, educational, industrial, healthcare, entertainment and residential projects. Perform load calculations and modify designs and specifications to comply with related specialty codes, client requirements and budgets. Specify equipment and troubleshoot HVAC designs. Be part of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Lighting, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Alarm and Dry Utilities
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Registration preferable, but not required.
- Two years minimum experience as HVAC Systems Designer, Mechanical Engineer (HVAC), Mechanical Engineer, Project Mechanical Engineer, Principal Mechanical Engineer or Chief Mechanical Engineer.
- Experience must include specialized HVAC engineering for facilities with specialized air/HVAC requirements and high energy efficiency requirements.
- 2 years' experience must also include full HVAC system design, engineering calculations, equipment selection, layout, developing design by CAD, engineering specifications and cost estimates, as well as working with multi-disciplinary teams including architectsand other engineers to achieve integrated and efficient HVAC performance.
- Coursework and experience must reflect HVAC design fundamentals, thermal system designs and measurement, and heat supply, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and controls engineering. Experience may be gained concurrently.
- Applicants with any suitable combination of education, training or experience who demonstrate the ability to perform all job duties will be considered. Resume, references, questionnaire and technical review required.
- Knowledge of plumbing design is a serious plus.
